Solidarity Goods is a voluntary run shop, supported by the Edinburgh University Settlement. We provide a space for small, grassroots charities to sell goods where the profit goes directly back to the communities they are dedicated to helping. This is fairly traded, guilt free shopping. Our customers know that the money they are going to spend is going to help, for example, children in Afghanistan, Palestine and struggling communities in Mexico, rather than multinational corporations.

The Charities we are currently working with are Afghan Schools Trust, Project Hope (Palestine), Artists for Gaza and the Edinburgh Chiapas Solidarity Group. We have also formed links with the Keer Lai Women’s Association (Gambia) and are happy that Solidarity Goods now has a sister shop in the Gambia.

We are home to the Hearty Squirrel Whole Food Co-op.  “Bring a tub, buy some grub!”
